Based in Downtown Salem, Massachusetts, The Son of Darkness Tattoo Artist is a fine artist and professional tattooist whose creative foundation lies in the academic study of oil painting and classical realism. His mastery of light, depth, and storytelling transforms each piece — whether on canvas or skin — into a cinematic experience.
His work blends cinematic realism, portraiture, black & grey, and full color concepts, as well as custom cover-ups and original compositions that push the boundaries between art and anatomy. Every project is designed with precision, emotion, and artistic integrity.
As a painter and tattoo artist, he approaches each project as a fine-art composition, blending years of academic technique with contemporary style — resulting in tattoos that are timeless, meaningful, and technically flawless.
Old tattoos, faded work, mistakes or designs that no longer represent you are not a limitation.
These transformations demonstrate how complex cover-ups can be rebuilt into cohesive,
powerful pieces — approached with the same artistic mindset as a painting.

Every cover-up presents a different challenge.
The goal is never to simply hide what was there before,
but to rebuild the area into a balanced, intentional composition —
one that feels natural on the body and timeless in execution.

I work exclusively on custom tattoo projects. Each project is quoted individually based on size, complexity, level of detail, and artistic direction.
Projects are executed using session blocks. Not all tattoos can be completed in a single session — many realism and cover-up projects require multiple sessions to achieve the proper result.
A $250 USD design deposit is required to begin the creative process and secure your appointment. This fee is not deducted from the session total and must be sent via Zelle. Non-refundable. One reschedule allowed with 48h notice.
Additional time outside the original project scope may be billed at $300 USD per hour.
Remaining balances are paid in cash or Zelle on the day of the appointment. No other payment methods are accepted.

The hourly rate and session structure are fixed; however, I understand that some clients may already have a predetermined budget in mind for their tattoo project.
If you have an approximate budget, please let me know. This helps me guide you on how the overall design, composition, and artistic approach can be adapted to fit your investment while maintaining the highest standard of quality.
When you contact me via email with your project description, photos, and references, please include the budget you intend to invest. This information helps me determine what is artistically achievable within your concept.
Please include all relevant information so I can properly evaluate your request:
Once I have all this information, I’ll personally review your project. If it’s a good fit for us to work together, I’ll then send you instructions on how to access the private final reservation form.
